Juried Exhibition at Niza Knoll Gallery

I am pleased to have my work included in the Niza Knoll juried Exhibition,

December 9, 2022–January 14, 2023. Artist Reception - Friday, December 16, 5-8 pm

Holy Moly, What's Next, Juried Exhibit.

Artists were invited to submit works that reflect a vision of the future. Jurors Susan Aplin Pogue and Florence Blackwell curated the show from 150 submitted pieces selecting 27 works that address the environment, race, gender, citizenship, politics, the pandemic, and other issues. Some works consider positive outcomes, while others address the topic with a more bleak, dystopian mindset.

“With so many thoughtful works submitted, we enjoyed the challenge of curating this show. The work we chose provides views from a wide range of angles but reflects the universal lived experience of uncertainty and the anxiety that comes from it. Art can help us recognize those feelings and hopefully help manage them. The exhibit reflects the current reality and thoughts about what that reality could or should look like in the future. We were honored to be invited to provide a fresh perspective to a legacy gallery like Niza Knoll Gallery.”

The show includes work by the following artists: Sandra Azcarate, Ellen Beller, Carol Bivins, Teresa Castaneda, Cassandra Chalfant, Michael Charron, Carol Cooper, Rick Dallago, Mary Edwards, Clara Gillihan, Howard Harris, Todd Heiserman, Katherine Johnson, Julia Kane, Nicole Korbe, Ruth Lawlor, Leona Lazar, Tatiana Lee, Janice McCullagh, Allyson McDuffie, Michael Phippen, Elissa Quist, Randall Steinke, Rose Ann Taht, Harry Utter, Leslie Van Stelten and Denise Zubizarreta.
